Montgomery Ballet will perform at 6 p.m. on Thursday at The Chapel at the Water, 1 Chapel Hill in Pike Road. Lights will take you on a journey of giving and receiving energy. Performance will include La Vivandiere (aka Markitenka) with music by Cesare Pugni and choreography by Arthur Saint-Leon and Fanny Cerrito; Pas de Quatyre with music by Pugni and choreography by Jules Perrot; and Lights with music curated by Jake Pughe and choreography by Danny Mitsios. Seating is limited. This event will include food, drink, dance performance and a DJ. Come for the show and stay for the party. Join Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts on Friday from 6:30-9:30 p.m. for Art and the Automobile: Cocktail Party and Silent Auction in the John and Joyce Caddell Sculpture Garden. It’ll feature some of the most exquisite, vintage, and state-of-the-art cars in Montgomery and the surrounding areas to celebrate the decades-long passion of car enthusiasts, collectors, and lovers of design. Tickets for the cocktail party and silent auction with automobile owners, dealers, and sponsors are $60 per person. mmfa.org

10th annual RiverBend BrewFest

For the bargain price of $25, guests can sip their way through a large selection of craft, specialty and seasonal brews Friday from 6-9 p.m. at RiverBend BrewFest. It’s being held in downtown Montgomery at the Union Station Train Shed, 210 Water St. Admission includes a commemorative tasting glass. Food vendors will be on site. It’ll feature music from The John Bull Trio. Leave the kids at home for this one. It’s for ages 21 and up. Tickets are available online at mgmcityevents.com or montgomeryal.gov, and in person at Derk’s Fillet and Vine, 431 Cloverdale Road. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Family Sunshine Center.

Crowds will pack downtown Prattville on Friday and Saturday for CityFest.

Downtown Prattville will be packed with fun Friday and Saturday with the return of Prattville CityFest. Friday activities include opening ceremonies in downtown Prattville at 5:45 p.m., followed by a free concert by The Tip Tops from 6-10 p.m. Food vendors will be on site. On Saturdy, the entry fee is $2. Military are $1. Children 5 and under are free. Saturday activities include music from Blackbird Pickers 10-11:30 a.m., Shackelford Lane noon-1:30 p.m., Jeff and the Johnsons 2-3:30 p.m. There will be many local business vendors, a kids area, and food vendors.

About $110,000 has been raised for Pike Road students through the annual Pike Road Patriot Fund Crawfish Boil. The 10th edition of the Boil will be held on May 14.

More than 6,500 pounds of crawfish will be served up Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Ce
ntury Church, 1001 Marler Road, Pike Road. Tickets are $75. There will also be hot dogs, hamburgers and other items for sale. Kid activities include face painting, bouncy houses, a magician, balloons, princesses, Captain America, University of Alabama mascot Big Al, and pony rides. Music acts include the PRS Show Choir, PRS band, Brandon Self and Uncommon Core.

If so, there’s a free evening of fun designed specifically for you on Saturday from 4-7 p.m. The HBCU Block Party is being held at The Station at 5 Points, 400 Mobile St., Montgomery. There will be food, games, music and good vibes. This is exclusively for HBCU students in the River Region and surrounding areas. Masks and school IDs are required. While this is free, guests must RSVP at eventbrite.com. Guests may bring a plus one.

It’ll feature mud riding: mud holes, wet trail and dry trail for SxS and ATVs. The music lineup includes Lacy/Todd Duo at 6 p.m., Michael Jay Hughes at 7 p.m., and Mark Kelley Band at 8 p.m. There will be food vendors on site, but guests are also allowed to bring coolers. Be sure to bring lawn chairs as well.

Blippi The Musical at MPAC

Kids and parents alike have been watching Blippi on TV. Now, it’s coming to Montgomery Performing Arts Centre on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. show Blippi The Musical. There will be singing, dancing and amazing new friends live on stage. A plane, a tractor, a fire truck and a train are just some of the many discoveries to make together.
