Berry Festival, classic cars at Walker Methodist Levande | News

Fans of common cars and trucks, tasty desserts and previous-time songs are  invited to celebrate the commence of summer season from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June at Walker Methodist Levande in Cambridge.

According to Victoria Svoboda, director of revenue and advertising at Walker, anybody can enter the typical automobile present, absolutely free of cost. Some of the people will have traditional cars and trucks to show, as will some residents’ family members. Trophies will be awarded for first, second, and third spot immediately after voting.

On the menu will be fresh berries with pound cake and whipped product, furnished by TB Walker Grill positioned within Walker Methodist Levande.

Also on hand will be stay enjoyment from PolkaSol, built up of musicians Ann Reed, Joan Griffith and Anita Ruth, who typically enjoy guitar, bass, and piano respectively. For sure functions, they set their instruments apart and turn into a trio with two accordions and a violin. 

According to COMPAS, the arts group that schedules and promotes the team, PolkaSOL’s repertoire is comprised of polkas, waltzes and folk tunes, and includes Scandinavian, Irish and French tunes. Much more than something, however, the team enjoys to sing with its audience and share tales and humor. Svoboda encourages everybody to go to the celebration, which was initial held in 2018 but experienced to be halted because of to COVID in 2020 and 2021.

“Come for some enjoyment, dwell audio, the motor vehicle clearly show and conversation,” she said.
